Atlanta-born and New York-grown producer, Yusuke Hama brings you “Hamacide: Mighty Little Machine Remixes EP” via OILWORKS.
“Mighty Little Machine Remixes EP” is the remixed edition of Yusuke’s 2010 solo album, “Mighty Little Machine”. This limited edition 12 inch features remixes by Guilermo Scott Herren (a.k.a. Prefuse 73), Epstein, Leb Laze, Himuro Yoshiteru, and Olive Oil. The cover artwork is done by Popyoil. Sound engineering and mastering are provided by Green House.

In 2007, Yusuke, with fellow Brooklyn singer Laurel Wells, released "LEYODE - fascinating tininess..." It was released on Guillermo Scott Herren's (Prefuse 73) label, Eastern Developments in the US, and on Easel Music in Japan. Although Yusuke and Laurel lived only a few minutes away from each other, they never worked in the same room together. The record was created entirely by transferring audio files. Heavy beats, samples and addicting vocal harmonies make up the "dirty-south, film-score pop" of "fascinating tininess..."

In 2010, Yusuke released his first full length solo record called Mighty Little Machine. Beautiful and, at times, bizarre, Mighty Little Machine blends many styles of music, but Yusuke's production keeps everything cohesive and making perfect sense.
Later in 2010, Yusuke asked NY friends, Prefuse 73, Leblaze and Epstein to remix songs from Mighty Little Machine for a possible remix EP. Yusuke then met Himuro Yoshiteru in Shanghai, China, and the release started to become a reality. Yusuke immediately fell in love with Himuro's music who then introduced him to Olive Oil and other amazing Japanese producers.

Hamacide is the alias of Yusuke Hama, an Atlanta-born, New York producer. Son of Japanese parents, Yusuke, like many Asian kids, started playing classical music at a very young age. In his mid-teens, his musical pursuits turned towards playing in bands and making his own 4 track recordings.

It was released on Guillermo Scott Herren's (Prefuse 73) label, Eastern Developments IN the US, and on Easel Music in Japan.
